Hope For Families

Hope For Families is a weekly ongoing support group at East Hill Church in Gresham, Oregon, for women who have experienced or are currently experiencing Domestic Abuse.

We have staff and mentors who have walked through abuse and understand the difficulties.

Our subject matter includes:
   *  what is abuse
   *  characteristics of an abuser
   *  the affects of abuse on children
   *  the dynamics of how abuse affects us
   *  dealing with post tramatic stress from abuse
   *  red flags to consider
   *  ways to move forward

Abuse affects self esteem dramatically. We look at ways God views us and encourage a safe, loving environment of sharing with one another in the group.
